The Sharks Academy Program is a specially designed initiative for young basketball enthusiasts who have been identified as having significant potential and enthusiasm in the sport that the club believes they could play representative basketball in the future.
Athletes are generally identified through our Junior Development Programs, School Programs, Camps, or local competition
The Sharks Academy aims to provide skill & development opportunities that not only foster their love and skills for the game but push the players further in their basketball development.
The cost for the Sharks Academy is $185 per term (returning athletes) and $205 (new athletes). Registration includes training with our qualified coaches & the Sharks Academy reversible training singlet (new athletes).
** Players involved in the Sharks Academy will all receive a Sharks Academy Reversible Training Singlet. This singlet is to be worn at every single training session they take part in as a member of the Sharks Academy.

The SDBA High Performance team delivers the Sharks Academy, providing a structured, high-quality training environment that focuses on developing young athletes in preparation for future representative pathways.

The Academy is a term-based program
WEEKLY TRAINING SESSIONS
1 hr sessions will be run for boys and girls (7 to 16 years) at Sutherland Basketball Stadium on Tuesday afternoons in school terms between 4 pm and 6 pm.
