SDBA is excited to announce the referee of the month for September! Daniel Hunt is one of our most established and experienced senior officials at Sutherland Basketball. Dan hails from a long bloodline and a history of Sutherland Basketball refereeing and we are very thankful for his ongoing commitment and presence amongst our leagues.
Dan has capped off a very solid season this winter, donning our Herbs of Gold Super League finals as an essential part of our referee team. Dan has also been instrumental to the servicing of the game at Menai, as a staple referee of the senior competition on Monday nights. Experienced referees that approach the game with a service attitude are hard to come by and we would like to recognise Dan for his ongoing professionalism within the referees program.
Dan is noticed (or not noticed) for his calm and amicable demeanour on the court and is a cool head who is respected and appreciated by the players and other referees while on court. These attributes make him a pleasure to referee with and an approachable authority on the floor when needed.
Thanks Dan for a stellar effort over the last month and we look forward to continuing the hard work out there with you on court.
