Ending up with six players scoring double-digits for the night, Brian Williams lead the way with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
Geoff Gerlach added 16 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds, Callum Norris contributed 12 points and 3 assists, Angus Lake 12 points and 8 rebounds, Klairus Amir 12 points and 8 rebounds, Lochlan Hutchison 11 points and four assists, Jordan Hilder added 9 points and 10 rebounds with Chris Vera 4 points and 7 rebounds.
Congratulations to our NBL1 Women and Men`s teams on their victory in Game 1 of the Freeway Cup against Basketball Illawarra, held during the ANZAC round at the Snake Pit Stadium. We also paused to honor ANZAC Day with a special tribute between the games, remembering those who served.
Well done to Liv White and Brian Williams for earning the ANZAC medals as MVPs of the round.
Earlier that day, Aliza and Geoff from our women’s and men’s teams represented Sutherland Basketball Association at the Dawn Service in Sutherland, laying a wreath on behalf of our community.
