The Sutherland Sharks are excited to announce a trio of experienced head coaches to head up the clubs Waratah League teams in season 2024.

 

The Sharks will welcome back Youth League Women’s head coach Jake Rues for another year at the helm as he looks to build on a promising 2023 campaign.

 

The Youth League Men will be coached by club returnee Steve Delaney. After a short stint in NSW country, Delaney returns to the Black and Blue for season 2024.

 

Adam Smith will move from Youth League Men’s to coach our new Waratah Men’s Academy team in 2024. The academy team will have a high function of developing young and emerging shark talent into our NBL1 men’s program. 

 

“Sharks General Manager Adrian Dark said this is a high-quality lineup of coaches with a lot of head coaching experience. I’m really excited for these coaches because I know their passion for the club and for taking their respective teams and athletes to the next level is a huge driving force for them. I can’t wait to see what season 2024 brings for our Sharks Waratah teams.”
