The Sutherland Sharks are thrilled to announce the signing of local forward Emily Garland for the 2025 NBL1 East Season.
After a breakout year in 2024 which saw Emily establish herself as a regular starter for the Sharks women’s team and gain a spot to the emerging Flames roster, Emily will once again look to build on her game and hunt that elusive NBL1 East premiership with the Sharks.
Sharks General Manager Adrian Dark said “I think Emily has shown that she is a force in this league. I’ve watched her grow as a basketball player both on and off the court and I’m really excited to see the next evolution of her game. I believe this is going to be huge year for Emily and I’m excited to watch her take her game to another level”.
Emily and the rest of the Sharks Women’s team are preparing for the upcoming NBL1 campaign starting with a match-up with the Penrith Panthers on opening night Saturday 29th March. Women are at 5pm & Men are at 7pm at the Shark Tank.
