The Sutherland Sharks are thrilled to announce the return of local centre Mia Bruce for the 2025 NBL1 East Season.
Mia, a local junior returns to the top side in 2025 after missing the 2024 season and will look to cement her place in coach Wilsons rotation with fellow Bigs Maddy Norris, American import Laci Hawthorne and Olivia Douglas. Mia will juggle dual duties while also playing for the Sharks Youth women’s team in the BNSW Waratah league.
Sharks General Manager Adrian Dark said “I’m really excited to see Mia return to basketball. Mia is a player who possesses all the skill to be a dominant force within the NBL1 East and I hope that 2025 is the season where the club can give her the platform to hone her skills and prepare her for many more seasons ahead in the Sharks women’s program.”
Mia and the rest of the Sharks Women’s team will hit the floor tonight Saturday 29th March. Women are at 5pm at the Shark Tank as they battle the Penrith Panthers
