The Sutherland District Basketball Association are thrilled to announce the re- signing of Aliza Fabbro for the 2026 NBL1 East Season.

Fabbro, a seasoned professional out of the Townsville Fire WNBL program, will don the Black and the Blue of the Sharks for a 4th consecutive season and will be a spark plug in coach Michael Turton’s high-octane offence.

Sharks General Manager Adrian Dark said “Aliza is now a shire local. She has been with us for 4 seasons and is a well cemented part of our team. She is a person who brings a lot of energy and steel to the team and program and I think 2026 will be a huge year for Aliza. She is fully healthy and has put in a huge offseason, so it’s an exciting time if you’re a Sharks fan, as I think there is a huge buzz around the team at the moment.”

Aliza and the Sharks Women’s team will battle the Sydney Comets on opening night of the 2026 NBL1 East regular season at the Shark Tank Saturday, 28th March, Women 5pm & Men 7pm.
