The Sutherland Sharks are thrilled to announce the signing of Michael Turton as head coach of the Sharks NBL1 Women in 2026.

Turton, a former coach with the Sharks during the SEABL, brings a wealth of experience to the sidelines, having previously spent over a decade on the sidelines as an assistant coach with the Sydney Flames and piloting multiple NSW Metropolitan, Country, and Australian National teams over the years.

General Manager Adrian Dark said, “I am thrilled to have Michael lead our women’s team in 2026. Michael is a great coach with an extensive amount of experience. I think he will do an amazing job coaching our women’s team, and I am excited about the future ahead for all our senior programs here at the Sharks.”
