The Sutherland District Basketball Association has conducted the 37th Annual General Meeting for the Association and would like to provide members and the wider SDBA community with a summary of events.

The Sutherland Basketball Association welcomes all the new and re-elected board members who will join Loretta Passerini and Vanessa Hutchison as existing board members for the 2025/26 year.
The President position for 25/26 will be held by George Gooding who actively coaches within our representative program and has extensive knowledge of facilities and facility management.
George will be joined by long-term board member Loretta Passerini in a vice president role. Loretta a long-standing member of the SDBA community has extensive experience in customer relations and governance and has also been an active representative coach and player within SDBA for many years.
To complete the formal positions on the SDBA board for 25/26 we welcome new member Lyndal Punch as treasurer. Lyndal brings strategic and leadership experience to the position having held multiple CFO and CEO roles throughout her career.

Outgoing Board Members:
The Sutherland District Basketball Association would like to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of outgoing President Mr Tim Cavanagh and committee members Brad Garland, Warren Phillip Clark and Mark Phillips.
Tim has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to develop and grow the corporate and sponsorship structure and has been a pivotal point of leadership within SDBA over the last 12 months. We wish Tim all the best with his exciting new business ventures.
Warren Phillip Clarke has stepped away from the board after 3 terms of serving the SDBA community. Warren, a familiar figure around the stadium has dedicated an immense amount of time to the Association and we thank him for his outstanding contribution.
Another familiar face also stepping away from the SDBA board is long-standing committee member Brad Garland. Brad has served multiple terms on the board including a role as Treasurer in 2023 and has been a key figure in the growth and development of the Association over the last 5 years.
Mark Phillips will also step down from the board after serving a 2-year term and we would like to take this opportunity to thank Mark for his contribution to the Association.
