The Sutherland Sharks are thrilled to announce the addition of Sharks Junior Evie Gooding to the NBL1 Women for the 2026 NBL1 season.

Gooding, an exciting combo guard and a graduate of the Endeavour Sports High School basketball program, is an elite scorer and relentless defender whose commitment and dedication to her game has made her a key addition to the Sharks squad in 2026. Evie will juggle double duties in 2026, combining the U23 youth women as well as NBL1. The 2026 season will be a key period for the young Shark as she looks to build her career in the Black and Blue Jersey.

Sharks General Manager Adrian Dark said “Evie has been with this club since day dot and has built her career piece by piece through our junior system, the BNSW system and the Endeavour System. Evie is a winner; she works hard to be a winner, but she does it in a way that makes her your ultimate teammate. She is a competitor on the floor but an amazing person off it, and it’s always a special moment for these athletes when they get to pull on this jersey for the first time at the highest level. She should be really proud of her achievement, and I can’t wait to see what 2026 brings for Evie.”

Catch Evie and the rest of the Sharks Men’s and Women’s teams as they battle the Sydney Comets on opening night at the Shark Tank, Saturday, 28th March. Women are at 5 pm & Men are at 7 pm.
