The Sutherland Sharks are thrilled to announce the signing of elite point guard Ella Dent for the 2026 NBL1 East Season.
Ella, a 5ft7 point guard, will join the Sutherland Sharks for the upcoming NBL1 East season fresh off the back of an Emerging Flames campaign and an elite 2025 season in the NBL1 where she averaged close to 15 Points, 4 assists, and 6 rebounds a game for the Illawarra Hawks.
Ella will use her versatile point guard skills to form an important part of the Sharks system and will look to build on her impressive NBL1 resume.
Sharks General Manager Adrian Dark said, “I think this is one of the biggest acquisitions our club has had in our time in the NBL1. I have nothing but praise for Ella and her professionalism and ability to walk into our club and build strong connections and relationships. She is an outstanding individual and a team-first player who has built a reputation on being one of the leading PGs in the NBL1 East. I can’t wait to see Ella light it up in a Sutherland Sharks uniform in NBL1 East 26.”
Catch Ella and the rest of the Sharks Women’s and Men’s teams as they battle the Sydney Comets on opening night at the Shark Tank, Saturday, 28th March. Women are at 5 pm & Men are at 7 pm.
