The Sutherland District Basketball Association is thrilled to announce the return of local junior Bailey Macarthur to the Sharks NBL1 Men’s team for the 2026 Season.

Bailey will enter his third season in the NBL1 in excellent form off the back of representing the Trinity Grammar School at the recent Footlocker Australian Schools Championships. An athletic combo guard, Macarthur showed his all-around game in NBL1 East 2025 and will be a prominent player in coach Roger’s rotation as the Men look to push themselves one step further and into the NBL1 East grand finale.

Sharks General Manager Adrian Dark said, “Over the last 12 months, it’s been amazing to watch Bailey’s growth as a player and as a person. I think in the 2025 season he showed that he belonged at the NBL1 level, and I believe that 2026 will provide a platform for the fans to see Bailey at his best and will showcase the tremendous talent that he has become.”

Catch Bailey and the rest of the Sharks Men’s team as they battle the Sydney Comets on opening night at the Shark Tank, Saturday 28th March. Women are at 5 pm & Men are at 7 pm.
