Good luck to our @endeavoursportshigh U17 (Div 1) Boys’ Basketball team, guided by Sharks coach Lochlan Hutchison and Adrian Dark, who have headed to Brisbane to take on the Australian Schools Championships this week!
The Australian Schools Championships is one of the biggest school basketball events in the country, bringing together teams from all over Australia for a week of non-stop basketball action.

HOT WEATHER ALERT | WED 27TH NOV 2024
Please be advised that due to the heat all 4pm junior development sessions (Endeavour | Heathcote | Sutherland) and local competition games at Sutherland stadium have been cancelled.
All 4:50pm domestic competition games will go ahead as normal with added water breaks installed into the games.

2024 | A YEAR OF SUCCESS FOR THE SDBA REFEREE PROGRAM
A year of growth for the Sutherland District Basketball Associations Referee Program has seen over 140 officials come together to deliver over 145 domestic competition games per week, countless representative games and school gala days.
Referee Program Manager Tom Marsh said “2024 was all about working on the foundations as a referee program. We worked hard on professionalism, the basics of refereeing and approaching the game with a service attitude. We feel we’ve set a good standard for ourselves, and the quality of the games has been great at the club recently. The domestic leagues have been heating up and the Herbs of Gold Super League with the introduction of 3-person refereeing has been great for the players and the referees. 2024 has seen another 35 new referees join the program, which is fantastic! I feel good about the future of refereeing here at Sutherland Basketball”.

COMPLIMENTARY FLAMES MEMBERSHIP FOR JUNIOR PLAYERS
The Sutherland Sharks in association with the Sydney Flames, are pleased to offer junior players a complimentary Flames 3-game membership for the 2024-25 Season.
The Sydney Flames are Sydney’s professional women’s basketball team which participates in the WNBL. This season the Flames include Cayla George, Paris Olympic Bronze medallist and current Flames captain, Shaneice Swain, Emma Clarke, Mikaela Reuf, imports Celeste Taylor, Yemiyah Morris and NSW locals Carla Pitman, Sherrie Calleia, Caitlyn Martin, and Piper Anderson. The assistant Coach is BNSW coach, Renee Garlepp.
The Sydney Flames have 6 games at the Quaycentre, Sydney Olympic Park (in addition to 2 more Double Headers with the Sydney Kings at Qudos Bank Arena). The complimentary 3-game membership can be used at any of the 6 games at the Quaycentre. Parents may also download one complimentary membership to accompany their child.
The next home game of the season at Quaycentre is this Saturday 30 November with other games on, Sat 7 Dec, Sun 22 Dec, Sat 25 Jan, Wed 12 Feb and Sat 15 Feb.

The 3×3 Festival of Basketball is coming your way on January 24th and 25th 2025, hosted by Sutherland Basketball Association in partnership with @suthshirecncl and @3x3hustle. This exciting new initiative includes community 3×3 events and the competitive National Qualifying event #1 by 3×3 Hustle, all happening over the same days.
What makes it even more exciting is that it’s taking place over five amazing locations: the scenic Don Lucas Reserve in Cronulla, the brand new courts at Cooper Street in Engadine and Seymour Shaw in Miranda, Parc Menai in Menai, and the hub of local basketball, Sutherland Basketball Stadium.
