The Sutherland District Basketball Association has recently conducted the 38th Annual General Meeting for the Association on Wednesday, June 3rd.

SDBA would like to provide members and the wider SDBA community with the following summary of events.

RESULTS OF 38th SDBA Annual General Meeting:

2026 Elected Members:

· Steve Nobbs

· Vanessa Hutchinson (Re-Elected)

The Sutherland Basketball Association welcomes all the new and re-elected board members who will join Lyndal Punch, Andrew Macnamara, Rhett McGillicuddy and George Gooding on the SDBA Board.

** Formal positions for the roles of SDBA President & Treasurer will be formalised at the July 2026 board meeting, with a further update provided to SDBA members.

OUTGOING BOARD MEMBERS:

The Sutherland District Basketball Association would like to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of outgoing board members Shaun Stevens and Loretta Passerini.

Loretta has been an integral part of the SDBA community for many years and has worked tirelessly behind the scenes over the course of 4 terms on the SDBA board to develop and grow our community platform and establish our government and stakeholder relations. We wish Loretta all the best for the future,

Shaun has stepped away from the SDBA board after 12 months of serving the SDBA community and has been a key figure in establishing the platform and strategic introductions surrounding future infrastructure and key projects within SDBA.

LIFE MEMBERSHIP:

The Sutherland District Basketball Association would like to congratulate our latest life membership recipients.

Both recipients have spent numerous years volunteering their time across many different areas of Sutherland Basketball, and we welcome both Trevor and Roger into life membership here at the Sutherland District Basketball Association.
