The Sutherland District Basketball Association are thrilled to announce the return of Melinda Andriejunas for the 2025 NBL1 East season.

Andriejunas, a key piece in the Grand Final run for the Sharks in 2024 will return for a further season in the NBL1 East and build on her already outstanding playing career. Andriejunas will bring a wealth of WNBL and NBL1 experience to a team primed for another title push.

Sharks General Manager Adrian Dark said “Mel is a person that every club wants a part of their program. She has built such a strong reputation as an elite athlete that having her on this team again will be a huge boost for us. I think Mel will be keen to build on the success she had in her return season last year and I’m excited to see Mel play in 2025.”

Mel and the rest of the Sharks Women’s team are preparing for the upcoming NBL1 campaign starting with a match up with the Penrith Panthers on opening night Saturday, 29th March, Women 5pm & Men 7pm at the Shark Tank.
