The Sutherland District Basketball Association is thrilled to announce Angus Bourke (NBL1 Men) and Jared Wilson (NBL1 Women) as lead assistant coaches for the 2025 season.

Angus Bourke joins the Sharks Men’s team as the lead assistant on Shaun Rogers staff for 2025. Angus, a seasoned coach, has previously held positions as head and assistant coach in the North
Bears NBL1 program and Basketball NSW state program. Angus brings an elite level of experience and energy and we look forward to seeing him on the sidelines for the Sharks in 2025.

Jared a familiar face at the Sharks club through numerous coaching and strength and conditioning roles with the Sharks High Performance and junior representative system, will make the jump in 2025 to the NBL1 program as lead assistant to the NBL1 Women. Jared’s appointment will provide head coach Adam Marjoram with extensive knowledge and support as the Sharks Women look to embark on another Championship run.

Sharks General Manager Adrian Dark said “Firstly I am ecstatic we have these two guys as our lead assistants in 2025. As a club I don’t think there are any better people equipped to do these roles
than Angus and Jared. I want to take this opportunity to welcome both to our NBL1 program. Secondly, both these guys are club people. I’m excited by their vision, ambition and the drive to help
nurture and grow our club and NBL1 programs. I think the Sharks community should be extremely excited that we have the caliber of Jared and Angus working at the senior level as we build our
programs for the future.”

Jared and Angus will hit the hard wood soon with the Sharks NBL1 trials scheduled to commence on Friday 25th of October for the Women and Saturday 2nd of November for the Men.
